This workshop is suitable for any Alpha Photographers who are interested in picking up the skills of using off-camera flash.
You will get to learn more about Sony's speed light solutions, and participate in individual shoots in small groups (4 pax max per group, safe distancing guidelines applies).

By the end of the lesson, participants will be able to:

  1. Use a Sony Alpha camera for flash photography with their Sony flash units
  2. Recognize the relationship between ISO, shutter and aperture in relation to flash
  3. Understand how Guide Number affects flash output
  4. Take photos of small objects with off-camera flash method for still-life photography with either 1 or 2 Sony flash units
  5. Utilise different lighting setups as well as modifiers to achieve desired effects
     

Mezame is a professional photographer who found his fame in surreal photoshoots involving concept portrait and toy photography. His works have been featured on DIYPhotography, PetaPixel, Dark Beauty Magazine, The South China Morning Post, The New Paper, Kotaku, io9 and many more. With heavy influences from pop-culture references, he uses photography and digital composites as a medium to tell stories, utilizing software such as Capture One Pro and Adobe Photoshop to bring imaginary worlds into reality. Apart from being a staff at Capture One and a Phase One Certified Professional, he is also an EIZO Southeast Asia Ambassador and a Wacom Ambassador (Singapore). He is also a member of the Professional Photographers Association (Singapore) and has been actively running photography workshops and seminars in parts of Asia.
